Our VISION: An essential part of the Department, the Human Resource Development Division is a team composed of highly committed, competent and effective service providers working together to develop and implement relevant training and development programs to help upgrade the skills and competence of the employees of the DOTC and influence their behaviors and attitudes toward the achievement of the plans and programs of the Department.
 
 

Our MISSION: To provide relevant quality training and development programs that will help shape the knowledge, skills, behaviors and attitudes of the personnel in the Department,

Role & Importance
of Training
 
   
 
All DOTC personnel shall be given equal chance and opportunity to be trained to enhance their competence in their present job and to be developed to assume higher position in the future. Training qualifications of personnel shall be based on the need of the organization, relevance to career path, experience, length of service, performance rating and satisfaction of minimum requirements (age limit and education) set by the host institution.All personnel while on training shall be temporarily relieved of their official functions.
Training basically is a process of effecting a particular set of behaviors in an individual and enhancing his/her knowledge and skills to improve his/her present and future performance of a job.

• Development. Activity undertaken to prepare one for greater responsibilities in the future.
• This is done through various teaching and learning approaches, methodologies, and techniques intended to influence the trainee towards adopting a desired level and kind of knowledge, certain attitude, and particular skill, and to help that trainee transform all of what is learned into a habit of productive work and harmonius relationships.
